Yoga for Runners

Have you always wanted to try yoga but didn't know where to begin? We'll be offering a 5-week yoga session every Tuesday evening at 7:15 PM, beginning Tuesday, March 15th. The 5-week session is FREE but space is limited to 20 students.

Join Dave Bowen, co-owner of Thrive Yoga in Rockville as he introduces yoga poses that will help increase flexibility, strengthen muscles, and relax your mind. He'll focus on the trouble spots runners know all too well: hips and hamstrings, core muscles, calves and more. Yoga is a perfect compliment to running as it strengthens muscles and increases flexibility, both of which help you run better and prevent injury.

No previous yoga experience is needed to join this yoga program. Participants should dress comfortably in shorts and t-shirts and will need a yoga mat, a water bottle and a towel.
