What she learned was she could run longer and harder than her brother ever could (and still does!). After high school, Jenn went to George Mason University. She transferred to Tempe, AZ where she graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Microbiology. Jenn moved back to the D.C. area and, after years of doing laboratory research with The Institute for Genomic Research and the American Red Cross, she gave it up to pursue a Masters of Public Health from George Washington University.

Since middle school, Jenn has competed in numerous races from 5K to marathon distance and she just started competing in triathlons. Jenn lives in Germantown with her husband John and their marathoner-in-training son, Keller. Currently, Jenn is the Head Coach and Coordinator of the running programs at Fleet Feet Sports. And, in addition to working at Fleet Feet Sports, Jenn is also the Co-founder and Program Director for Girls on the Run of Montgomery County. Girls on the Run is a non-profit educational program that uses running and training for a 5K as a means to educate and prepare elementary school girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.
