Jenn Gill

Director of Marketing, Head Coach and Running Group Coordinator. Jenn is originally from New York where her running career began at the age of 12. Sibling rivalry was what really started Jenn's running career. Jenn was determined to beat her older brother's sprint times when she joined the track team in 8th grade. What she learned was she could run longer and harder than her brother ever could (and still does!). After high school, Jenn went to George Mason University. She transferred to Tempe, AZ where she graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Microbiology. Jenn moved back to the D.C. area and, after years of doing laboratory research with The Institute for Genomic Research and the American Red Cross, she gave it up to pursue a Masters of Public Health from George Washington University.

Since middle school, Jenn has competed in numerous races from 5Ks to marathons. She has dabbled in triathlon and just recently finished her first ultramarathon. Jenn lives in Germantown with her husband John and their marathoner-in-training son, Keller. Currently, Jenn is our Director of Marketing, Head Coach and Coordinator of our running programs. And, in addition to working at Fleet Feet Sports, Jenn sits on the board of directors and coaches for Girls on the Run of Montgomery County.

In October she will earn her certification through RRCA (Road Runners Club of America) to become a certified running coach. Tish is currently coaching the Summer No Boundaries 5K Program and the Intermediate 10K Program.

Tish is an avid runner and enjoys running marathons and hopes to complete her first ultra marathon later this year.

Heather Hanson

Heather is a relatively new runner, but has always been a long time participant in team athletics. Growing up in Gaithersburg, Heather played soccer and swam on a local swim team at Quince Orchard high school. Throughout her collegiate studies (in music), Heather made a point to stay active by swimming, weight training and yoga. It was then that she discovered the joys of running. “I always hated running in high school. The day we had to run a mile in gym class was the day I would try to fake being sick. However, in college I started running to get in shape and haven’t stopped yet!”

Heather is currently training for the 2009 Richmond Marathon and is a member of Mountgomery County Road Runners. Her dream is to eventually run a qualifying time for the Boston Marathon and to win one of those raffles from the packet pick-up exposition (since winning the race is out of the question). Come on in to get FIT, talk shop, or just to say 'hi'!

In addition to her passion for the arts, Emily truly believes in the power of exercise. While in the Navy, Emily began running as part of her military training. It wasn't until her enlistment ended that she came to see running as a fun way to stay in shape. Yoga, she also believes, is a great way to stretch and calm the mind and spirit.

Emily is a part-timer at Fleet Feet Sports Gaithersburg and its newest staff member. The supportive atmosphere and excitement of loyal and new customers, she says, encourages her to find the time to run again after a winter hiatus.
