Fleet Feet Sports, Gaithersburg invites you to our Nike + Holiday Road Challenge. Beginning Thanksgiving Day and ending Christmas Day, Team Griswald (that's us) will be virtually running from Plymouth, Ma (where the first Thanksgiving was held) to Santa Claus, In.

As a team, we need to run 1030 miles to get there by Christmas! This is a Nike + challenge, so you will need the Nike + Sportsband or the Nike + iPod system. If you don't already have a Nike + system, they can be purchased at our store.

How do you sign up? You will need to log into or create your account at www.nikeplus.com. Once you are logged in, you can join the Griswalds by clicking the Challenges button at the bottom of the page: Challenges/Gallery/Holiday Road Challenge/Join Challenge/The Griswalds. Do not make up your own team as everyone is on the same team (The Griswalds) to reach 1030 miles.

Once you are signed up, you can upload your workouts to the site. Since this is the season for giving, we will have prizes for the first 20 runners who reach the 75 mile mark. We will also have a nice prize from Nike for the male and female runner who logs the most miles during the challenge. Prizes must be picked up at Fleet Feet Sports, Gaithersburg no later than Dec. 31, 2008.

Note, you will not be able to sign up or upload your workouts to the Challenge until Nov. 27.
