  2. Healthy Diet -- Eat real, unprocessed wholes foods (read labels -- buy products with less than 6 ingredients)
  3. Get rid of all packaged, processed and convenience foods, including anything with trans fats or high fructose corn syrup
  4. Avoid all refined grains and unnecessary sweeteners, including anything artificial
  5. Plenty of sleep (8 hours)

  10. You time -- take time to relax, read a book, take a nap, go to a movie, garden

  • Part-skim mozzarella or feta
  • Low-carb tortillas
  • Olive oil dressing
  • Dark leafy greens

  • White bread
  • White eggs
  • Light beer
  • Deli meats
  • Brie or cheddar
  • White-flour tortillas
  • Creamy dressing
  • Ice berg lettuce

 Healthy Snacks for the Day -- Examples:

  • Water
  • Nuts and dried fruit
  • Peanut Butter (or other nut butters) and an apple/banana
  • Hummus or guacamole with easy to eat vegetables -- sugar snap peas, carrots, sliced red bell peppers, sliced cucumbers
  • Dark chocolate
  • Homemade energy bars
