This program is designed to improve your endurance and distance, preparing you for the 10K. The program provides variety and intensity at a gradual pace to maximize benefits. This 10K program has walk, interval (run/walk), and run pace options.

THREE PACE STYLES
Within each pace style there will be multiple paces. Whether you want to walk, run, or both you will find a speed right for you!

WALK: Looking for WalkFIT 10K? It is now part of the Beyond Boundaries 10K Family!

This program will return in Spring 2017

Focuses on increasing core strength, speed and distance. Weeks alternate between building speed/endurance and increasing distance to fitness walking 6.5 miles at a 16 min/mile pace.
*REQUIREMENTS: Can currently walk 2.5 miles.

INTERVAL (RUN/WALK):

This run/walk interval program focuses on speed/distance by using a consistent run/walk methodology. Participants develop a run/walk pattern and train to complete a 10K using that pattern. A great program for those coming off of injuries or who have been away from running and want to try a new approach.
*REQUIREMENTS: Can currently run/walk 2.5 miles.

RUN:

Focuses on strength, speed and distance. This pace option if for participants who want to run a 10K.
*REQUIREMENTS: Can currently run 3 miles.

 
PROGRAM FORMAT
Each Session Includes:

- Weekly organized and coached run/walk
- Professionally developed daily training schedule
- Various pace group options (walk, interval, run)
- Weekly educational/special guest discussions
- Coach led dynamic warm-up and cool down

Winter: St. Patrick's DC 10K - March 5th

Spring: Jeremy's Run 10K - May 29th

Summer:  Homerun - September 18th or TBD

Fall:  Christmas Caper - December 17th
